Shoppers at Great Northern Mall are noticing a “store closing” sign in front of Forever 21. But that sign is not to be taken literally. According to management, the reason there is a “store closing” sign in front of the Great Northern location is because it applies to the Beachwood Forever 21 store closing, with its inventory being added to the Great Northern location.

As of right now, the Great Northern Forever 21 store is not slated to close in a move in which the company is shuttering more than 200 stores nationally, along with laying off more than 350 workers at the Los Angeles corporate office. Great Northern’s location, at 560 Great Northern Shop Center, is currently staying open but absorbing sales from the Beachwood location, which is shutting down.
